Each piece in our lacquerware collection is handcrafted in Vietnam, using the same traditional techniques that have been employed for centuries to create unique, beautiful, and durable objects.

From harvesting the tree sap that is processed into lacquer resin to sanding and shaping the wooden base, every step of the production process is done by hand. Lacquer artisans apply Caspari designs to the wood, add gold or silver leaf and hand-painted accents as desired, and then patiently apply multiple layers of high-gloss lacquer to finish and protect the piece.

The care and attention given to each detail result in a collection of lacquerware of exceptional beauty.
